Fusion is a drama project for females initially based across Cardiff, bringing different groups together in order to empower and enable them to learn about, and from, each other. Set up by two past trainees of Fio’s participatory artists training programme, the project will provide a space for the girls to share their experiences, aspirations and realities. They will bring together people from different cultures, religions and locations, breaking down barriers and enabling new relationships and understandings to form. The project wants to challenge stereotypes and give females the confidence and skills to explore identity, and the role of women in society, essentially allowing them to be heard by the communities they derive from and society at large.
They will be delivering a Residency Programme for 3 days led by an all female team at St Davids Hall, Cardiff from Tuesday the 29th – Thursday 31st August 2017 – sessions will run from 10am-5pm with a sharing on the final day for friends and family and invited guests.
Anyone interested in the project should contact us at hello@wearefio.co.uk to register a place as spaces are limited.
