The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens are holding an open gardens day for community growing groups across Cardiff on Saturday 21st October. The idea is to get a group of community gardens across Cardiff to all open next Saturday and encourage people to visit to learn more about community growing and the opportunities to volunteer there.
The gardens taking part are:
Pentrebane Zone – OPEN FROM 10 – 3 Beechley Drive, Car Park Via Lavender Grove, Cardiff CF5 3SG
Riverside Community Garden – Pontcanna Permanent Allotments, Western Avene
Whitchurch Community Garden – Corner of Erw Las and Tynewydd Road opposite Whitchurch Primary School
Mackintosh Community Garden – OPEN FROM 12 – 4. Arran Street, to the rear of the Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre (itself located at 38 Keppoch Street).
Global Gardens -OPEN FROM 2.30 – 6. Flaxland Allotments, located just off Whitchurch Road on Sachville Avenue, CF14 3NY.
Maes y Coed Community Garden – OPEN FROM 10 – 1. 1 Jubilee Gardens, Cardiff CF14 4PP
