The Campaign to End Loneliness, in partnership with Ageing Well in Wales, is delighted to announce The 2nd Annual Learning Network Conference is taking place on Wednesday 20th January 2016 at City Hall Cardiff, Wales.

Join 150+ other people across the UK who are working to address loneliness in older age to discuss brand new research and good practice, and learn how to better identify and measure loneliness. The conference is a nationwide meeting that is designed to celebrate the work of our Learning Network, as well as be an opportunity for members to rejuvenate and reconnect with what else is going on across the UK.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear expert keynotes and to participate in interactive workshops. (Notably the conference sessions do not start until 11am to allow delegates plenty of travel time to Cardiff).

Agenda highlights include: A Keynote Presentation from Professor Vanessa Burholt, Professor of Gerontology in the College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University An Interactive table-discussion session on “Promising approaches to reducing loneliness and isolation in Wales” with presentations from Let’s End Going Home Alone, Community Transport Association Wales, Men’s Sheds Cymru, Spice Innovations and Gwanwyn Festival.
