

Preparing for Volunteers
The training will help you improve your knowledge on welcoming volunteers to your organisation. It would be suitable for volunteer managers, coordinators, supervisors, team leaders and individuals who have responsibility for recruiting, training and managing volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to apply and will be allocated a space, on a first come first served basis. By the end of the course, you will:
- Be able to develop a volunteering policy
- Have considered what other policies might be necessary
- Understand key legal issues relating to volunteers
- Be able to develop volunteer ‘role descriptions’
- Know how to assess and manage risk associated with a volunteer role

Time: 2 pm – 4:30 pm
The training will be a hybrid event. In-person attendees will participate at Butetown Community Centre. Online participants will join the training via Microsoft Teams.
