All too often practitioners attend a two day course and several months later they either forget all about it, or can’t quite remember what they did and how to put it into practice. This session will provide learners with: 

• An opportunity to reconnect with the principles and concepts of the approach
• A chance to practice the skills in a safe environment
• Time to reflect on the place of Motivational Interviewing in your work practice and setting.

 
This is an ‘open’ course and as such you may find yourself with workers from a selection of other health and social care disciplines.  If you would like a course to be specifically arranged for your team, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Trainer: Viv Mumby runs the STARS training and supervision project. This involves the delivery of brief evidenced based interventions to workers in the Substance Misuse field.
