This Cardiff Council training course is for managers, seniors or nominated manual handling risk assessors for assisting service users to move. It is a course prerequisite that participants should have completed their All Wales Manual Handling Training Passport and appropriate refresher training.
Aims:
To ensure that participants are familiar with the legal obligations for the management of manual handling safety and enable them to carry out manual handling risk assessments in compliance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and professional standards including the All Wales Manual Handling Passport and Information Scheme.

For safety reasons participants must wear loose fitting clothes and closed, supportive footwear i.e. full flat shoes. Please do not attend with long fingernails, be prepared to remove dress jewellery and tie back long hair.
Refreshments: Tea / Coffee and biscuits will be provided.
The course will include some written exercises if additional learning needs are required please inform the trainer before the course due date.
