This Cardiff Council training is ideally suited to staff who are new to social care although it is open to all social care staff who haven’t previously attended training to the standard of the All Wales Manual Handling Passport.

The following modules will be covered over the three days of training.

Module A – Introduction

Module B – Inanimate Load Handling

Module C – Sitting, standing, walking

Module D – Bed mobility

Module E – Lateral Transfers

Module F – Hoisting

This is an Agored Cymru accredited course and is worth 4 credits at level 2.

Participants will be awarded the passport provided they have fulfilled the assessment criteria when completing the modules.

Participants must attend the entire duration of each of the three days in order to be eligible for the passport.
