The duty to make reasonable adjustments, under the Equality Act 2010, involves taking positive steps to ensure that disabled people can access and progress in employment and in accessing goods and services. This goes beyond avoiding treating disabled people unfavourably and requires employers and service providers to take additional measures that are not given to non-disabled workers job applicants and customers.
