Target Group: Staff, volunteers and carers from any LSCB agencies, commissioned providers and the voluntary sector in Cardiff or the Vale of Glamorgan.

Each Learning Event will comprise two half-day sessions, with the morning content repeated in the afternoon.

Course Content: 

Aim

– To provide an environment in which practitioners and their agencies can learn from Child Practice Reviews and Serious Case Reviews

Objectives

– Establish whether there are lessons to be learned about the way in which local professionals and agencies work together to safeguard children
– identify clearly what those lessons are, how they will be acted upon, and what is expected to change as a result
– improve inter-agency working to better safeguard children
– identify examples of good practice
– support individual services and professional groups in their shared responsibility for protecting children

Course Facilitator: A range of speakers and facilitators, both external and drawn from LSCB agencies.
