Listening is one of the most important skills you can have as a worker operating in the Domestic Abuse sector. How well you listen has a major impact on the support you offer victims of domestic abuse, sector professionals and your relationships with others. It also would have an impact on the effectiveness of your services to others.

This half-day Welsh Women’s Aid workshop will introduce participants to what is good listening and what skills we need to demonstrate active listening to our client group working with domestic abuse and sexual violence cases. This course is for new members of staff, as well as staff looking for a refresher in listening skills. And how to deal with crisis calls.
