“Light a Candle” ecumenical service

Bawso would like to invite you to attend “Light a Candle” ecumenical service to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (White Ribbon Day), 25th November 2016. The ecumenical service will take place between 10:00am – 12:00pm in Cardiff.

Every year Bawso in partnership with other support agencies organise the “Light a Candle” service. The event brings together more than 250 people including survivors of different forms of violence, AMs, Ministers, Government officials, Faith leaders, members of local communities and practitioners to make a stand against violence.

Key Note Speakers:

Carl Sargeant, Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Children in Welsh Government;
Rhian Bowen-Davies, National Advisor for Violence Against Women, Gender based Violence, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Abuse;
Survivor of the violence and Leaders from different faiths.

Programme Includes: 9.00am March to Llandaff Cathedral:
10.45am Light a Candle Ecumenical Service and Speeches
12.30pm Lunch: fundraising to raise money to support women affected by violence with no recourse to public funds at Llandaff rugby football club, The Old Mill, Western Ave, Cardiff CF5 2AZ.
