This one-day Tros Gynnal Plant course gives learners an introduction to the Formal Advocacy role. Learning can be transferred to the accredited course.

Learners will:

–        Understand what Formal Advocacy is

–        Understand how Formal Advocacy fits alongside other types of advocacy

–        Understand the relevance of UK, European and International legislation and guidance to children’s rights

–        Understand the role of the Formal Advocate in supporting children and young people

Anyone working with or hoping to work with children and young people. Particularly suitable for learners who would like to develop an understanding of the current climate in relation to children’s rights in Wales.
