FREE seminar: Working with the new Destitution Domestic Violence (DDV) Concession to support people with NRPF

26th July 2012 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

In April, the Home Office launched the Destitution Domestic Violence (DDV) Concession, where women on a spousal visa who are destitute and have experienced domestic violence can apply for access to public funds while they complete an application for Independent Leave to Remain in the UK.

Hosted by the Abolish No Recourse to Public Funds Campaign, this seminar will discuss the conditions of the DDV Concession and how it will impact on organisations who work with women with no recourse to public funds. This seminar is open to all, but would be particularly useful for women’s organisations, local authorities, Job Centre Plus staff and immigration, benefits and legal advice services.

The seminar will be a great opportunity to share your views, experiences and concerns with experts and representatives from central and local government during a panel discussion. Invited speakers include representatives from the UK Border Agency (UKBA), Department for Work and Pensions.
