Delivering Better Services for People with a Learning Disability
This one-day Learning Disability Wales course will enable delegates to consider and answer the question “Are the ways in which services are currently delivered making a positive impact on improving the quality of life of those who receive the service, or actually a barrier to improving quality of life outcomes?”
The course includes
· An understanding of how people with a learning disability are devalued and how it can affect them.
· An insight into how history can repeat itself and the lessons we need to learn.
· An examination of how the delivery of services can have a positive or negative impact.
· How the quality of services delivered or commissioned can be measured.
Designed for:
Anyone who has a role supporting or caring for someone with a learning disability, individuals delivering services to people with a learning disability and individuals commissioning services for people with a learning disability.
