SUMMARY:Delivering Better Services for People with a Learning Disability
DESCRIPTION:This one-day Learning Disability Wales course will enable delegates to consider and answer the question “Are the ways in which services are currently delivered making a positive impact on improving the quality of life of those who receive the service\, or actually a barrier to improving quality of life outcomes?” \n The course includes  \n·        An understanding of how people with a learning disability are devalued and how it can affect them.  \n·        An insight into how history can repeat itself and the lessons we need to learn.   \n·        An examination of how the delivery of services can have a positive or negative impact.  \n·        How the quality of services delivered or commissioned can be measured.  \n Designed for: \nAnyone who has a role supporting or caring for someone with a learning disability\, individuals delivering services to people with a learning disability and individuals commissioning services for people with a learning disability.
