Cardiff Media Summit 2015
The second annual Cardiff Media Summit is being held on November 11th to discuss the findings of the IWA’s Media Audit which will be launched ahead of the conference.
This is a major survey of the media in Wales – across print, broadcast and online and in Welsh and English – which is being carried out by the IWA’s media policy group and academics, and will include data and commentary on the state of the Welsh media.
BBC Director of Strategy, the former Culture Secretary, James Purnell, will be delivering the keynote address on the challenges facing the BBC ahead of Charter Renewal and the future of the licence fee.
Other speakers include Jonathan Grun, Emeritus Editor, Press Association; Ian McKenzie, Nations & Regions Manager, Channel 4; Elan Closs Stephens, BBC National Trustee for Wales; Blair Jenkins, former senior executive, STV & BBC Scotland; former Independent Editor Ian Hargreaves; John McVay, CEO, PACT; and former Radio Wales editor Sali Collins.
