This NewLink Wales course is aimed at people who have completed NewLink Wales’ Substance Misuse Awareness course and may also be suitable for people who have some knowledge of substance misuse already.

The course will describe the effects of commonly used substances and discuss the risks surrounding the misuse of substances. It will identify the main methods of drug use and explore some harm reduction techniques. In addition it will examine the injection process, analyse risks and explore harm minimisation methods. Lastly  it will explore the ‘recovery journey’ and identify appropriate interventions.
