Do you have experience of delivering employability skills training?
Would you like to help asylum seekers and refugees to learn skills to navigate UK systems to access volunteering and employment opportunities.
The Employability Workshop Project will initially be for 10 weeks. However, DPIA is committed to providing regular employability workshops. This project is Supported by Cardiff Third Sector Council liaising with Glamorgan Voluntary Services through the Hau Third Sector Fund 2019 in partnership with Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council. However,DPIA will endeavour to build on the success of the project and carry on delivering it for as long as possible utilising support of volunteers and its own staff.
The project will provide high quality employability skills to refugees and asylum seekers. We work closely with service users to develop an achievable plan to get back to work or be prepared for work when eligible to work in UK. The project will deliver pre employability skills such as help with CVs and interview techniques, work experience opportunities.
