Mae’r argyfwng coronafeirws yn effeithio arnom ni i gyd yn wahanol. Rydych chi’n fwy tebygol o farw o goronafeirws os ydych chi’n ddu, os ydych chi’n yrrwr tacsi, neu’n driniwr gwallt. Os ydych chi’n anabl, yn feichiog neu’n weithiwr hŷn efallai fod gennych chi gwestiynau a phryderon ychwanegol am ddychwelyd i’ch gweithle.

Yn ystod yr ychydig fisoedd diwethaf mae Pwyllgor Cydraddoldeb TUC Cymru wedi cael sgyrsiau cynhyrchiol gyda Jane Hutt, Dirprwy Weinidog a Phrif Chwip Llywodraeth Cymru. Byddwn yn gweithio gyda’n gilydd i fynd i’r afael â’r ffaith bod coronafeirws yn effeithio’n anghymesur ar rai grwpiau o bobl. Rydym hefyd wedi cynhyrchu cyfres o ganllawiau i helpu gweithwyr yng Nghymru sydd â nodweddion gwarchodedig penodol, a’r cynrychiolwyr sy’n gweithio gyda nhw. Bydd mwy yn dod yn fuan ond gallwch nawr ddarllen y canllawiau (yn Saesneg ar hyn o’r bryd) ar:

• Beichiogrwydd, mamolaeth  a gwaith yn ystod argyfwng covid-19
• LHDT+

 
Gofynnir i fwy a mwy o weithwyr yng Nghymru ddychwelyd i’w gweithleoedd. Cyn i chi fynd yn ôl i’r gwaith dylai eich cyflogwr gynnal asesiad risg Covid-19 penodol. Rydym yn croesawu’r offeryn asesu risg a gyhoeddwyd yn ddiweddar gan Lywodraeth Cymru i gefnogi gweithwyr BME yn y GIG a gofal cymdeithasol.
 
Yn awr, rydym am weld yr offeryn hwn yn cael ei addasu ar gyfer pob sector ac ar gyfer pob grŵp o weithwyr sy’n agored i niwed. Darllenwch fwy am beth mae’n rhaid i’ch cyflogwr ei wneud i’ch cadw’n ddiogel yn ein canllaw ar ddychwelyd i weithleoedd diogel.
 
Nid oeddem yn gallu casglu fel mudiad undebau llafur yng Nghyngres TUC Cymru yn Llandudno’r wythnos diwethaf. Ond rydyn ni wedi dod o hyd i ffordd o ddathlu’r hyn rydyn ni wedi’i gyflawni gyda’n gilydd dros y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf – fedrwch chi weld eich hun yn ein fideo newydd ar Facebook  neu  Twitter?

Coronavirus – protecting all workers

We are not all in this together. You’re more likely to die from coronavirus if you’re BME, if you’re a taxi driver, or a hairdresser. If you’re disabled, pregnant or an older worker you may have extra questions and concerns about returning to your workplace.

Over the last couple of months the Wales TUC Equalities Committee has had productive conversations with Jane Hutt, Welsh Government Deputy Minister and Chief Whip. We will work together to tackle the fact that coronavirus is disproportionately affecting some groups of people. We have also produced a series of guides to help workers in Wales who have certain protected characteristics, and the reps who work with them. More will be coming soon but you can now read the guides on:

• Pregnancy, maternity and work during the Covid-19 crisis
• LGBT+

 
More and more workers in Wales are being asked to return to their workplaces. Before you go back to work your employer should carry out a specific Covid-19 risk assessment. We welcome the Welsh Government’s recently announced risk assessment tool to support BME workers in the NHS and social care.

We now want to see this tool adapted for all sectors and for all groups of vulnerable workers. Read more about what your what your employer must do to keep you safe in our guide on returning to safe workplaces.
