We are excited to announce the completion of our recent project under the Digital Service Design Programme by Promo-Cymru, which has been a transformative journey for Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) over the past six months. This initiative aimed to equip our team with essential digital service design skills, focusing on the double diamond model, which emphasizes understanding user needs and refining solutions.
In May 2024, we engaged in a consultation with our member organisations to explore how we can enhance collaboration and support within our community using digital tools. The insights gathered during this consultation were invaluable, helping us identify key areas where we could foster connections among members, build partnerships, and swiftly respond to funding opportunities and consultations.
A significant outcome of our research was the identification of WhatsApp Communities as a promising tool for enhancing communication and collaboration. Following this discovery, we initiated a pilot program with a select group of members from a specific interest group. The initial feedback has been constructive and positive, indicating that this platform could effectively facilitate time-sensitive information sharing and discussions.
Looking ahead, we are eager to expand this pilot into larger interest groups, ensuring that we collaborate closely with the members who participated in our initial consultation. This next phase will allow us to refine our approach further and ensure that we meet the diverse needs of our community.
