British Youth Music Theatre Auditions

British Youth Music Theatre are looking for young people (aged 11-21) to join the company and take to the stage in their 2019 summer season of musical productions.

The audition takes the form of a fun 3 ½ hour group workshop where participants get to sing, act and dance for leading theatre practitioners who are looking for talent, determination and a love of performance. You can watch their audition trailer here.

Auditions are held in Cardiff on the 2nd of February at The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. We welcome absolutely anyone to audition, regardless of experience.

Young people are auditioning to take part in an intensive 2-3 week summer residential course in Musical Theatre in Production; they’ll train with the industry’s best directors, musical directors, and choreographers to build one of eight new musical shows, performed at professional theatre venues across the UK. We also have musician and backstage opportunities. Previous BYMT Company members include BRIT award-winner Ed Sheeran and Grammy award-winner Sam Smith to name but a few.
