Availability of supplies for voluntary organisations carrying out vital roles
Alongside the NHS and other emergency services carrying out vital roles during this crisis there are also charities, community groups, social enterprises and other voluntary organisations delivering essential services. They must not be forgotten.
Staff and volunteers for some services will inevitably also need personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks, protective clothing, gloves and cleaning products. Their important services must continue but we must ensure they are safeguarded.
WCVA is working closely with Welsh Government to be able to provide avenues for supplying these products such as through frameworks. Welsh Government is also working with manufacturers to meet demands by creating products they have never created before.

Tell us what you need
We need to know which essential items you need in order to specify quantities to manufacturers and to ascertain levels of supply and demand. We may also be able to let you know which suppliers have certain products available so that you can fulfil your demands.
We are here to help but we need to be made aware of your shortages. Please get in touch with Emma Waldron on [email protected] who will work with you to understand your requirements and will provide you with assistance on accessing frameworks.
The frameworks available to you can be found via the downloadable document (link above).

Please purchase responsibly in line with Welsh Government guidelines. If neither the care worker nor the individual receiving care and support is symptomatic, then no personal protective equipment is required above and beyond normal good hygiene practices.
