Monday 15 June, 11am – 1pm: Dementia Café: an opportunity for any one affected by dementia to get together for mutual support and companionship. Pentrebane Community Centre, Beachley Drive, Cardiff CF5 3SG.
Tuesday 16 June, 11am – 12.30pm: Carers Group – specifically for those caring for someone under the age of 65. SandMartin Pub, Leckwith CF11 8WD.

Carers Information and Support Programme (CrISP)
Alzheimer’s Society Cardiff and the Vale offers courses for family carers to learn more about dementia in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. They run over 4 weeks on Wednesday mornings. The Watch My Needs Project
This is a new and innovative project funded by the Big Lottery through ACE Cardiff. Its aim is to give people recently diagnosed with dementia and their families the opportunity to learn some Makaton, a language that involves not only speech but also signs and symbols. It is an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and make new friends during the fun and informative sessions.
