Heartburn Health, a research programme supported by NHS Wales

Heartburn Health, a research programme supported by NHS Wales is taking place across Wales for people who experience heartburn, acid reflux or indigestion.

Who can take part:

  • Men aged 55-79 and women aged 65-79.

How can they take part:

  • Sign up through the NHS Wales text message they may receive.

OR

Heartburn Health also supports recruitment to the BEST4 Screening Trial, which is investigating whether a simple capsule sponge test can help identify people at risk of oesophageal cancer earlier. People who sign up to Heartburn Health and meet the trial requirements may be randomly selected to attend an appointment on the BEST4 bus, a mobile clinic bringing the trial to communities across Wales.
