Over the past year, C3SC has brought Cardiff’s community schools together through quarterly meetings, creating a thriving network that strengthens collaboration and shared practice across the sector.
The latest meeting was held at Ukrainian Hub Cymru Wales and brought together Community Schools supporting Chinese, Polish, Romanian, Sudanese, and Ukrainian communities to showcase programmes spanning language, culture, wellbeing, arts and academic support, building on the peer support and learning from previous sessions. C3SC also progressed new opportunities with the group including plans for a Cardiff Community Schools Science Olympiad 2026/27 supported by Science Olympiad UK, funding and training updates, and the next steps in becoming a Stakeholder Reference Group to give schools a stronger collective voice in influencing local policies.
At the next meeting, planned for October, the schools will work on shared initiatives, including plans for the Cardiff City of Languages Fair and International Children’s Day. For more information and to get involved, please get in touch with Magda Thomas at Magda.T@c3sc.org.uk
