We are delighted that in the last quarter we have supported local groups in Cardiff to successfully apply for and secure over £1 million in funding. The funding represents a fantastic boost for community projects across Cardiff. 10 local groups offering a range of vital services, from new community facilities to supporting health & wellbeing. will be able to continue their essential work, helping local people and families in our city.
One of our roles at C3SC is supporting our voluntary sector members with tailored advice and information to plan for and locate appropriate funding and resources, and with writing a strong bid to enable the best chances of success.
The 10 groups we supported included new groups and much more established charities. Lighting the Darkness – one of C3SC’s newest members – celebrated their first successful bid, via Community Foundation in Wales: Fund for Wales! And we were pleased to work alongside a range of member groups – including Mentoring For All (MENFA), ILM Schools, Creigiau Recreation Charity. Nordoff and Robbins Music Therapy, Community Care and Wellbeing Service (CCAWS), Yoga Health Connect CIC, Y Caban, Sudanese School Cardiff, and Watt Way of Life CIC – to secure funding via the National Lottery’s Awards for All and other programmes.
Congratulations to all the groups who received funding this quarter, which will help to make the voluntary sector more resilient and able to support more people to meet their needs and aspirations, many of who are from our most vulnerable communities. If you’d like help and guidance with planning and applying for funding and resources, get in touch with our Funding and Support team by emailing us at enquiries@c3sc.org.uk – we’ll be happy to help.
