Please see the following message shared to us by Public Health Wales:
Health awareness campaigns are a good opportunity to continue to share information and raise awareness about screening.
The following national health campaigns will be happening in June:
- Men’s Health Week: 15-21 June
- Diabetes Awareness Week: 9-15 June
- Cervical Screening Awareness Week: 15-21 June
- International Neonatal Screening Day: 28 June
Here are some ideas on how you can help support these campaigns and raise awareness of NHS screening:
|
Share our new Diabetic Eye Screening video, during Diabetes Awareness Week. |
|
Like and share social media posts about screening, uploaded onto Public Health Wales Facebook and Instagram. |
|
Download and share bilingual resources from Padlet. You can share the resources on your social media platforms, messaging apps, and monitor screens. |
|
Share our new British Sign Language video (BSL) for the Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme (AAA). |
|
Display screening posters. They highlight the screening programmes available in Wales, and who is invited to take part. |
|
Share the screening z-cards. This resource tells you who, when and how people are offered screening in Wales. The z-cards can be used to support screening conversations. |
You can order hard copies of z-cards and posters by e-mailing the Screening Engagement Team on: screening.engagement@wales.nhs.uk
