NuLife Furniture were winners of the Sustainable Business of the Year Award at the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2023! NuLife are supported by over 20 volunteers who help with upcycling and recycling furniture at their workshops, along with delivering and collecting items in the local area and providing support in sales and administration.
The team at C3SC were delighted to visit NuLife Furniture last month as part of our programme of Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV), where we learned more about the organisation and their sustainable practices through a guided workshop. We got to decorate items using the decoupage technique, and we took the opportunity to present them with their Award certificate.
With Welsh Government calling for a ‘decade of action’ to tackle the climate crisis and achieve Net Zero by 2050, NuLife Furniture’s work presents a positive example of achieving the goals of Climate Action Wales.
