Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and say thank you.

Join us this year to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make in Cardiff and say thank you.

The overarching theme agreed for Volunteers’ Week 2023 is ‘Celebrate and inspire’.

We are encouraging a focus for this year on some of the aspects that we want to celebrate about volunteering across the UK. These are:

  • Our diversity is our strength
  • There’s more than one way of volunteering
  • Being the change we want to see

June 1st: C3SC staff will be kicking off Volunteers’ Week 2023 with a litter picking event in Butetown – and we’d love to see you there! The event will start from Butetown Community Centre, home of C3SC. This is a great chance to try volunteering for yourself, and make a positive impact in your community. C3SC staff and volunteers will be on hand to support you during the event, and are available for any questions you may have about volunteering and the third sector. Read more and register to join us here!

June 6th: To celebrate #PowerofYouth day C3SC will be launching the application for the Cardiff Youth Led Grant fund. To encourage applications from new projects, we will also be hosting an online info sessions for young people and charity organisations that would like to learn about the fund and how to write a successful application! Register for this event here.

In partnership with the #iwill movement, 6 June will focus on the #PowerofYouth in volunteering. For more information on #PowerofYouth, please visit: https://www.iwill.org.uk/get-involved/power-of-youth-day
