South East Wales Participation Network – South East Wales event

9th May 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic experiences that occur before the age of 18 and are remembered throughout adulthood. Evidence shows people who experience stressful and poor quality childhoods are more likely to develop health-harming and anti-social behaviours, more likely to perform poorly in school, more likely to be involved in crime and ultimately less likely to be a productive member of society.

Better and more meaningful engagement is needed in order to intervene early and prevent adverse childhood experiences from becoming a reality for more and more people. At these practitioner network events we will explore different methods of meaningful engagement with communities.

This event will be facilitated in English, but you are welcome to contribute to discussions in both Welsh and English.

These regional participation networks are suitable for anyone working in the field of participation and citizen engagement.
