Raymond Williams Memorial Lecture

24th February 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This event is part of NIACE Cymru’s Festival of Dangerous Ideas, which is encouraging people to come up with new ideas for promoting learning at all ages but with a focus on adult learning in Wales.

We are delighted to announce, that as part of the Festival, we will be reviving the Annual Raymond Williams Memorial Lecture, in partnership with the Open University in Wales.

On 24th February 2015, Deputy Minister for Technology and Skills, Julie James AM, will host the lecture, which will this year be delivered by Dr. Tom Schuller – author of Learning Through Life: The Inquiry into the Future of Lifelong Learning. Tom will offer his dangerous ideas on adult education, and explore some of the ideas presented in the inquiry into lifelong learning, asking were they dangerous enough and whether they are still relevant six years on.

The event will take place from 6.30pm at the National Museum for Wales’ stunning Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre, with refreshments available at the reception event beforehand.

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
