This training session is for any professional that works with children or works with adults who have children.

Training provided will satisfy the prerequisite requirements for attending level 2 training provided by the LSCB.

This training covers:

– The legal framework for safeguarding children;
– The responsibilities of individuals and organisations;
– The possible signs  of abuse;
– Dealing with disclosures from children;
– How to make a referral;
– The response to be expected to a referral.

Participants will:

– Feel confident to make referrals;
– Understand the responses they may receive;
– Understand how to respond to children who disclose and what to look for;
– Better understand the legal frameworks that are in place and how and where this applies to them within their job roles.
