The new face of Local Government in Wales and implications for the third sector

28th May 2012 @ 9:45 am - 12:30 pm

Following the recent Local Government elections, WCVA and Positif Politics are pleased to invite you to this event which will explore recent changes and developments in Local Government in Wales, and consider the implications for third sector organisations. At a time of increasing demand for services and decreasing budgets, we all have a shared interest in making sure that local government and the third sector can work together to meet the needs of Wales’ citizens.

The event will feature:

– an opportunity to learn about the new political map of Wales following the election from Daran Hill of Positif Politics;
– a presentation from the Welsh Local Government Association about how local authorities are working together under the new collaboration agenda;
– a panel discussion with representatives of the four main political parties on the topic of how local government can and should work with, and engage, the third sector.

The event is FREE, but booking is essential.
