Wellbeing of Wales Report 2022

On 29 September, the Welsh Government published the Wellbeing of Wales 2022 report. The report helps to assess whether in Wales we are making progress against the 7 national wellbeing goals, including the goal of ‘A More Equal Wales’.

The report, which has been produced by Welsh Government statisticians, considers progress against the 50 national indicators, which were set by Welsh Ministers in 2016, alongside a range of other relevant data. It includes links to data sources and useful further information.

The section of the report on the goal of ‘a more equal’ Wales brings together the available data relating to the national indicators and other contextual information for a range of population characteristics (socio-economic disadvantage, gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, disability and marital status). It comments on what we have learnt from the data in the last year and what the longer term progress towards the goal is.

Note there is a supplementary report providing an extract of the analysis contained in the Well-being of Wales report concerning the wellbeing of children.

Some of the key messages from the report are included in the Wellbeing of Wales, 2022: headline results slides.

Adroddiad Llesiant Cymru 2022

Ar 29 Medi, cyhoeddodd Llywodraeth Cymru adroddiad Llesiant Cymru 2022. Mae’r adroddiad yn helpu asesu a ydym ni yng Nghymru yn gwneud cynnydd yn erbyn y 7 nod o nodau lles cenedlaethol, gan gynnwys y nod o ‘Gymru sy’n Fwy Cyfartal’.

Mae’r adroddiad, sydd wedi cael ei gynhyrchu gan ystadegwyr Llywodraeth Cymru, yn ystyried y cynnydd yn erbyn y 50 dangosydd cenedlaethol, a osodwyd gan Weinidogion Cymru yn 2016, ochr yn ochr ag ystod o ddata perthnasol eraill. Mae’n cynnwys dolenni at ffynonellau data a gwybodaeth bellach ddefnyddiol.

Mae’r adran o’r adroddiad ar nod Cymru ‘fwy cyfartal’ yn casglu ynghyd y data sydd ar gael sy’n ymwneud â’r dangosyddion cenedlaethol a gwybodaeth gyd-destunol eraill ar gyfer ystod o nodweddion poblogaeth (anfantais economaidd-gymdeithasol, rhywedd, oedran, ethnigrwydd, crefydd, cyfeiriadedd rhywiol, ailbennu rhywedd, anabledd a statws priodasol). Mae’n gwneud sylwadau ar yr hyn rydyn ni wedi’i ddysgu o’r data yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf a beth yw’r cynnydd hir-dymor tuag at y nod.

Sylwer bod adroddiad atodol sy’n darparu detholiad o’r dadansoddiad sydd yn adroddiad Llesiant Cymru ynglŷn â lles plant.

Mae rhai o’r negeseuon allweddol o’r adroddiad wedi eu cynnwys yn Llesiant Cymru, 2022: sleidiau prif canlyniadau.
