If you work in the third sector in Cardiff, chances are high that you have met one of C3SC’s long-time supporters and volunteers, Abbas Radaideh. A fierce champion of the voluntary sector, Abbas has been involved with C3SC in some capacity for more than four years. In 2020 and 2021 he was nominated for a Cardiff Volunteer Award, with his nominators citing his wide-spread involvement in voluntary ventures across the city – and in 2021 he received a special recognition award for this dedication to his community.
As a volunteer with C3SC, Abbas supports the team with representation at various community events, takes advantage of all training and networking opportunities that C3SC organises, and provides valuable insight and advocacy for the experiences of asylum seekers and refugees living in Cardiff. It’s Abbas’ positive influence that has earnt him an ambassador role at the City of Sanctuary more recently, and we’re excited to see where Abbas’ volunteering takes him next!
Are you looking to get started on your volunteering journey too? Our team would be more than happy to help you – please contact our team – email volunteer@c3sc.org.uk or talk to us on 07973 725 690.
