Storm Impact and Preparedness Funding
Grant Announcement
Following conversations with local groups about the impact of Storm Darrah, Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC), with funding from the Welsh Government, is offering a discretionary funding opportunity to support organisations affected directly or indirectly by recent storms. This funding is intended to help groups recover, strengthen resilience, and continue providing vital services to their communities.
Who can apply?
Charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, and Community Interest Companies based in Cardiff and who are members of C3SC. To join C3SC as a member, please visit https://membership.c3sc.org.uk/
Funding amount: Up to £2,000.
Funding aims:
Grants are designed to help organisations:
- Recover from damage caused by storms or flooding.
- Strengthen capacity to respond to future severe weather events.
- Maintain or restore essential community services without long-term disruption.
Expected outcomes:
Projects should contribute to:
- Restoring and Strengthening Community Services – Repair or reinstate facilities and services damaged by storms in 2024–25.
- Building Resilience – Help your organisation and community better prepare for, respond to, and recover from future storms.
- Improving Collaboration – Strengthen how your organisation works with the local community to plan, communicate, and respond together, while coordinating with other groups and agencies where helpful.
