Shaping My Future – October 2025 Programme

The Shaping My Future project by Displaced People in Action (DPIA) offers health, wellbeing, and cultural activities for asylum seekers and refugees aged 18+ in Wales.
Highlights this month include:
  • Women’s Health Session – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
    Monday 20 October, 10 am–12 pm, The Riverside Warehouse (SRCDC, CF11 6EQ)

    In partnership with Breast Cancer Now, this session covers breast cancer facts, symptoms, screening, prevention, and common myths.

  • Winter Cycle Safety Session
    Monday 27 October, 10 am–12.30 pm, YMCA Plas, Cardiff
    A practical workshop on staying safe while cycling in winter, including visibility, e-bike laws, and black ice awareness. Organisations interested in supporting or contributing are welcome to get in touch.
