Theme: Bringing Communities Together
The Cardiff Volunteer Awards is organised by the Cardiff Volunteer Centre @C3SC (Cardiff Third Sector Council). Following the hugely successful virtual event last year – attended by over 100 people, this year’s ceremony will also be held online (Zoom), at 4pm on the 12 November 2021, to coincide with World Kindness Day. Nominations are now open, with a deadline of 4th November 2021 at 5pm. For full details of the award categories, to nominate volunteers, groups and organisations engaged in volunteering within Cardiff, and/or register to attend the event, please visit Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2021 | C3SC – Cardiff Third Sector Council or email volunteer@c3sc.org.uk
The ceremony will start with C3SC’s AGM – an annual event for our members and supporters to connect and help us shape our plans for the next 12 months. The AGM, taking place from 14:00 – 15:45 will be participative, and you will have the opportunity to hear from our key speaker – we are delighted to be joined by Councillor Huw Thomas, leader of Cardiff Council.
Commenting on the awards, Sheila Hendrickson-Brown, CEO at C3SC said, “We are delighted to show our appreciation at C3SC’s AGM and annual Volunteer Awards event for the fantastic work undertaken by the wonderful community of volunteers in Cardiff. We thank Wales & West Housing and our sponsors for helping us celebrate the commitment and efforts of so many people, and we wish all our nominees the very best of luck – you are all winners!” And Anne Hinchey, Group Chief Executive at Wales & West Housing remarked, “Wales & West Housing recognises the selfless commitment and sacrifice volunteers make, particularly throughout the pandemic. We are delighted to sponsor the Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) Volunteer Awards 2021 and celebrate the extraordinary efforts volunteers have made throughout the year. Thank you and good luck to all taking part.”
