Following a successful application to Promo-Cymru’s Digital Service Design Programme for the Third Sector, C3SC engaged in a period of consultation with our members about their experiences accessing services, and connecting with relevant third sector colleagues. These consultations included flip-chart exercises, group discussion and provided participants with the opportunity to create their own user journeys reflecting using new digital tools.
Following the consultation period, C3SC analysed feedback from members and developed a core user needs statement with support from Promo-Cymu’s workshops. Ultimately, we identified our core need as the following:
“As a member of C3SC ,when I am trying to connect with third sector colleagues around my busy schedule I need to find the right people quickly so that I can get support and take advantage of opportunities with short deadlines.”
In examining our current digital tools and the ways of working that are wide-spread within the sector and among our membership, the team identified a new feature of WhatsApp – Communities – as a potential way forward to meet the core need identified.
