The Cardiff Commitment are thrilled to announce that Open Your Eyes Week is returning for 2024! We are currently in the stage of recruiting partners from a variety of industries who can showcase the exciting roles within their organisations to take part. Please see further details below:
Open Your Eyes Week is a city wide virtual event for Year 5 and 6 pupils (ages 9 – 11) across Cardiff. It supports pupils to develop ambitions and aspirations by igniting and inspiring interest in a wide range of occupations. The event is returning for 2024 with the first event taking place during the week of 17th – 21st June.
What to expect?
- 40-45 minute interactive careers workshop via MS Teams
- Activity interwoven throughout to provide pupils with an authentic learning experience
- Focuses on the skills necessary for the world of work and your industry
- City wide offering with an average of 45 classes attending each workshop
- Delivery in both Welsh and English medium where possible
- Programme of partner support provided by the Cardiff Commitment including two training workshops and run through sessions
