A space for you – Online Peer Support groups open to anyone involved in running domiciliary care
A recognised way to well-being is through connecting with other people. Building good relationships with your peers (other people who manage or lead teams in domiciliary care) can provide you with support, ideas, or just someone to talk to.
Being involved in peer support can really help you when you feel times are demanding and challenging. We are offering you a space to come together for peer support with other people also involved in running a care home in Wales.
People who have already attended peer support said it provided a real source of well-being support for them.
We recognise that post pandemic challenges exist for the care sector so have arranged a number of sessions to give you a safe and confidential space to come together every fortnight over the winter months.
There will be an introductory session on Thursday 2nd February. This will give a brief overview of what the session will involve and for you to ask any questions to help you make a decision to attend future sessions.
The peer support sessions will then be open every other Thursday (via zoom) 14.00 – 15.30 from Thursday 2nd February through to Thursday 27th April 2023. Further session can be offered after this date if the group agree.
