We are pleased to share details of the upcoming 2024 Minority Ethnic Communities (MEC) Health Fair in Cardiff. The theme this year is “Building Healthy Communities: Embracing Self-Care and Achieving Health Equity” and the event will be held at Cardiff City Stadium (Leckwith Road, Cardiff CF11 8AZ) on Wednesday 16th October from 10am – 3pm.
The purpose of the MEC Health Fair is to support individuals from different ethnic backgrounds, become more aware of their own health needs and to enable health providers to improve their understanding of community health issues. The fair has over 10-year track record of linking people from minority ethnic backgrounds with health providers and of raising awareness of healthy lifestyles in an inclusive and accessible way. The event is always well attended and provides valuable engagement opportunities.
Interested health organisations can now book a stand to provide information on services and health awareness initiatives to Minority Ethnic Communities in Cardiff.
The event is only funded by contributions from organisations like yours. In addition to booking a stall, we would like to offer the opportunity to sponsor this prestigious event. By doing so you will help ensure that the success of this year’s fair and raise awareness of health issues that affect people from minority ethnic backgrounds who can experience disproportionately higher levels of ill health. Sponsors will be acknowledged in event literature and marketing materials. Their contribution will also be noted in post event reports that are sent to the Welsh Government.
More information on last year’s event, the sponsorship packages and how to sponsor the event and/or book a stall can be found on the links below:
