Introducing Our New Volunteer Scheme: Supporting Communities with the NHS Wales App

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new volunteer scheme in partnership with Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, launching this November 2024. This initiative aims to help individuals get online and navigate the new NHS Wales App, empowering our communities to access vital health services more effectively.
As part of this program, we have recruited an initial cohort of dedicated volunteers who will host drop-in sessions in various community spaces and GP surgeries. These sessions are designed to provide hands-on support for those who may feel less digitally connected or confident in using the NHS Wales App. By offering guidance and answering questions about the app, our volunteers will play a crucial role in enhancing digital literacy within our communities.
In addition to supporting users, this program presents a valuable opportunity to gather feedback on the NHS Wales App. We want to hear from our community members about what works well and where improvements can be made, ensuring that the app meets the needs of all users.
Stay tuned for updates on the locations and times of our drop-in sessions, which will be shared across our social media channels. Follow us at @cdfvolcentre and @c3sc to stay connected and informed. Together, we can bridge the digital divide and create a more accessible healthcare experience for everyone in Cardiff. Your support and engagement are vital as we embark on this journey!
