The New Homelessness Duties and Equality

This event will look at the equality considerations of the new homelessness duties contained within the Housing (Wales) Act. This will include looking at those likely to be impacted upon, the meaning of vulnerability and good practice in discharging the duty:

• Good Practice in Prevention
• Homelessness, Eligibility and No Recourse to Public Funds
• Mental Health and Homelessness
• Working with the Private Sector

This half-day Tai Pawb seminar will be of interest to local authority housing strategy officers, homelessness teams, those working with or in the private rented sector, housing associations interested in learning more working with homeless clients, third sector organisations and other interested parties who wish to find out more about the topic or are currently engaged with working with homeless or vulnerable people.

After the seminar, there will be lunch and a chance to meet the speakers and network.
