Event
As part of the equality impact assessment process for developments which are being planned at the Cardiff Wales Airport, the Welsh Government is keen to engage with disabled people through a visit to the site. This will help inform the planning process for the developments from the point of view of disabled people.
It is envisaged that this visit will involve a group of disabled people who are able to represent a number of types of impairments moving through the space, and giving advice and opinion on current and planned facilities and their accessibility. Currently the plan is to run the session on the morning of Wednesday 15th January 2014. Feedback by phone, letter and email will also be possible for people who are familiar with the airport but unable to attend the session on 15th January.
If you would be interested in being involved in the process or would like more information, please email Phil Jenkins, Head of Equality Support Unit and Welsh Language Co-ordinator, Department for the Economy, Science and Transport, Welsh Government at phil.jenkins@cymru.gsi.gov.uk
