Youth Homelessness: All I want is a Roof Over my Head

The Children in Wales training will explore youth homelessness. The course will outline reasons for youth homelessness, current trends and the impact of current Housing and Homelessness legislation in Wales. Ways of support young homeless people and the issues such as substance misuse, Child Sexual Exploitation and how to safeguard them. This will be conducted using a rights based approach.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will:
- Have an understanding reasons for youth homelessness
- Gain ways of supporting homeless young people
- How to identify young people at risk of Sexual Exploitation
- Gain knowledge on safeguarding homeless young people

Practitioners, Managers and Policy Makers from all sectors and all organisations keen to explore how their work can support homeless or potentially homeless young people. Examine legislation and how to support young people to exercise their rights.
