This conference is an opportunity for counsellors and those working with children and young people to extend and develop their knowledge and skills. There is a programme of workshops, keynote speakers and networking opportunities during the day.
There are contracted leading professionals to deliver workshops and share their experience of working with children and young people this will include:
– working with children and young people who are estranged from one or both parents and the effect of damaged attachments
– understanding and working appropriately with young people who self harm
– working creatively to develop an effective therapeutic relationship with a young person
– working with children and young people to develop resilience and confidence to stop and think and find positive solutions
– practical and creative ways of supporting a young person through bereavement
