Welsh Government grants to the third sector – meeting

6th October 2014

WCVA would like to invite you to a meeting to discuss your organisation’s experiences of grant funding from Welsh Government.

A number of WCVA’s members have raised concerns about their experiences of grant funding, for example, programmes changing from supporting core funding to becoming project funding. They are keen to hear your experiences of applying for grant funding, the monitoring requirements, and recent changes to any grants schemes.

The meeting will take place in Cardiff on the afternoon of Monday 6 October 2014. The meeting will be chaired by Phil Jarrold, Acting Chief Executive of WCVA, and Welsh Government officials from the Third Sector Unit and the Grants Centre of Excellence will be present.

WCVA will be giving evidence to the Finance Committee on 16 October 2014 about the Welsh Government Draft Budget 2015-16, and would like to ensure that they can reflect the third sector’s recent funding experience as accurately as possible.

To reserve a place, please email Nicola Bethell on nbethell@wcva.org.uk, indicating your name, organisation and which Welsh Government grants programmes you currently access. Please also include any access requirements.

Please note: this meeting is for organisations that receive direct Welsh Government grant funding. If you are unable to attend, please feel free to provide C3SC with examples of your views and concerns regarding your experience of grant funding and monitoring from Welsh Government as we are keen to share the third sector’s thoughts and experiences. Email enquiries@c3sc.org.uk putting ‘Welsh Government grant funding’ in the subject line.
