Introduction to benefits
This one-day introductory course has been repeatedly well received by both participants and organisations, and aims to introduce the welfare benefits system with simplicity, particularly the distinctions between means-tested, non-means tested, contributory and universal benefits.
The course has been designed to enable delegates to recognise and understand the purpose of the most commonly claimed benefits, focussing on jobseekers and incapacity for work, the social fund, housing benefit and Disability Living Allowance changes
