NewLink Wales has been delivering substance misuse awareness training for over 13 years, all our trainers are experienced professionals who have worked in the substance misuse field and can bring real example of working with substance users. This course aims to bring a broad understanding about substance misuse and the impact that is has on individuals, the course content includes the following:

• The main categories of drugs and their effects.
• Alcohol and its effects
• Patterns of drug use
• Stigma and stereotyping
• Methods of drug use
• Introduction to service provision

Voluntary Sector Workers – £140.00 
Statutory Sector Workers – £150.00

This includes facilitation, handouts, refreshments and a buffet lunch.

All of the Newlink Wales courses are designed within National Occupational standards.
